Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced marketing and / or sales professional to perform the full range of marketing and / or sales activities, including coordinating marketing events, such as the Zot Wellness Fair and other similar campus based trade fairs and back to school events, and developing and implementing promotional strategies to include using social media, electronic advertisements / LCD screens, and posters displays to promote awareness within the campus community and to the general public of Campus Recreation programs such as Group Fitness and Wellbeing programs or many other fitness related offerings. Has a full understanding of fitness / gym industry practices and UCI policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. This position will also manage a department comprised entirely of student staff with an express interest in marketing, sales, and social media. The objective of this position is to increase awareness of Campus Recreation and its services which will increase program participation, facility membership, and internal / external advertising sponsorships for revenue generation.
