QualificationsSummary Of RoleThe Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, and community engagement initiatives that enhance brand awareness, support business development, and strengthen the Bank’s presence in the communities it serves. This role collaborates cross-functionally but does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Experience 3–5+ years of marketing experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, branding strategy, and campaign execution within a regulated industry.
  • Understanding of banking products and services, including consumer and commercial offerings.
  • Working knowledge of financial services advertising regulations and compliance considerations.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, social media management tools, and content management systems.
  • Familiarity with website content updates, email marketing platforms, and basic analytics reporting.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing design tools (e.g. Canva preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion, and credibility is essential in this role.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, compliant marketing and public relations messaging.
  • Effective verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels by proactively participating in and contributing to a positive work environment, controlling emotions and temperament, and exhibiting courteous, respectful, and professional behavior.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments, processes, and technologies.
  • Technological ability and willingness to work remotely from home as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure or adverse circumstances, using effective strategies for managing personal stress.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners.
  • Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
  • Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
  • Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
  • Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.
  • Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate media advertising activities, including print, digital, broadcast, and social media, ensuring timely production, brand consistency, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors/agencies to develop and execute marketing campaigns that support strategic objectives.
  • Manage creative development, content updates, and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness.
  • Coordinate public relations initiatives including press releases, branch openings, product launches, and special announcements.
  • Recommend and implement public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and community awareness.
  • Assist with crisis communication preparation and messaging as needed.
  • Coordinate community, philanthropic, and industry sponsorships through a master calendar to ensure alignment with brand strategy and budget.
  • Manage event logistics including invitations, promotional materials, and on-site brand presence.
  • Track sponsorship performance and community impact.
  • Participate in the development and execution of social media strategy.
  • Coordinate ongoing social media updates and content scheduling.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and recommend content enhancements.
  • Ensure digital content aligns with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update marketing collateral, brochures, presentations, and promotional items.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all internal and external communications.
  • Oversee inventory and selection of branded promotional merchandise.
  • Track expenses and ensuring initiatives remain within approved timelines and funding parameters.
  • Provide reporting on marketing initiatives and ROI to leadership.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
