The Marketing Manager is critical to the success of the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC). This position is responsible for working with licensing managers to become familiar with new and existing technologies and research strengths at Georgetown; conduct research to find prospective licensees and research collaborators and make initial and follow-up contact with prospective licensees and collaborators. As part of this outreach, the Marketing Manager will organize and participate in marketing events and conferences, as well as coordinate the preparation and production of marketing material. Additionally, the Marketing Manager is responsible for maintaining industry contact information, technology marketing history in the OTC database, develop and nurture relationships with industry BD representatives as well as investors and other sponsors and funders. In addition to technology marketing, this position is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for effective website content and social media presence for OTC and relevant information with the goal of marketing OTC and its services externally to the ecosystem and internally within Georgetown. Internal outreach to Georgetown researchers and other stakeholders, in addition to external outreach and business development, is critical to the success of OTC and Georgetown research enterprise.
