About The Position

The Marketing Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of marketing initiatives for the Utah Jazz. This role involves collaborating closely with the Director of Marketing to create effective marketing strategies for various campaigns, particularly those supporting the Jazz DTC streaming product, Jazz+, as well as broadcast and retail initiatives. The Marketing Manager will oversee the daily execution of paid media and promotional efforts across owned channels for the campaigns and initiatives they manage. A key focus of this position is to drive engagement across streaming platforms and tune-in, aiming to meet and exceed company goals and KPIs. This is a full-time position based in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role, the Marketing Manager will develop and execute marketing campaigns that support Jazz+, tune-in, Team Store, CounterPoint, audience growth, and other brand initiatives. They will liaise with paid media agencies to ensure the execution of targeted media campaigns, maintaining budgetary constraints while developing strong reporting mechanisms to understand goals and metrics. The Marketing Manager will also assist in planning the annual marketing budget, ensuring that campaigns and projects remain within the allocated budget. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will engage and expand audiences and fans by developing and executing retention campaigns and growth initiatives specifically for Jazz+ and tune-in. They will be responsible for crafting messaging that aligns with the brand voice, ensuring that strategies are targeted to various audiences and executed across multiple owned and paid channels. Writing and editing copy will also be part of their responsibilities. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Marketing Manager will work with the analytics team to provide reporting on both paid and organic marketing efforts, identify insights, and implement changes to enhance campaign results. They will also work closely with the Director of Streaming, Broadcast team, Team Store, and other internal departments to support departmental goals and objectives, bringing marketing expertise and audience engagement strategies to each group. Furthermore, the Marketing Manager will assist with the promotion and strategy for the Utah Hockey Club streaming platform and support the Utah Hockey Club marketing team as needed. Throughout their work, they will exemplify the Utah Jazz mission and values, ensuring the protection of the company's reputation and fulfilling other duties as assigned.
