About The Position

The Search Manager is a key role within the Performance Marketing team and will be responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end paid search strategy across all product verticals. This role will own search performance, innovation, and execution, while partnering closely with creative, analytics, and other performance channel teams to support priority initiatives and drive growth. You will be accountable for scaling acquisition efficiently, improving intent capture, and ensuring that search remains a high-performing, insight-driven growth channel. You are deeply data-focused, with a strong understanding of how to balance performance, experimentation, and long-term brand value. This role will initially operate as a highly autonomous individual contributor and will evolve into a people management role as the in-house team scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in paid search marketing and performance marketing.
  • Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in fast-moving environments.
  • Deep expertise in paid search platforms, bid strategies, automation, and attribution models.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear action.
  • Experience collaborating closely with creative, product, and analytics partners.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting business needs.
  • Innovative mindset, with a passion for testing and experimentation.
  • Must be Canada-based; fully remote eligible.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with app campaigns highly desired
  • Experience in regulated industries, gaming, or high-growth environments is a plus.
  • Prior people management experience not required but highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the global search strategy across all relevant platforms (e.g., Google, Bing, Apple Search Ads), ensuring alignment with broader performance and brand objectives.
  • Drive full-funnel search performance, from acquisition through retention and reactivation.
  • Manage day-to-day execution, optimization, and testing across campaigns, keywords, and ad formats.
  • Develop and implement a robust testing and learning roadmap to continuously improve efficiency, scale, and conversion rates.
  • Partner closely with the creative team to brief, test, and iterate ad creative and landing page experiences.
  • Support priority internal campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives with tailored search strategies.
  • Build and maintain scalable campaign structures, automation frameworks, and best practices.
  • Own forecasting, budget pacing, and performance reporting.
  • Work with analytics teams to define KPIs, develop dashboards, and surface actionable insights.
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry trends, translating learnings into platform and creative innovation.
  • Prepare the channel for future scale, including documentation, process building, and eventual team leadership.
