About The Position

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a fast-growing software development startup to recruit a seasoned and skilled Marketing Lead (Demand Gen) to build and scale the company's demand generation function from scratch. This is not a plug-and-play marketing role. It's a builder role —designed for someone who has personally taken marketing from zero to momentum , enjoys operating without rigid playbooks, and wants ownership over both strategy and execution. You will be the architect and operator behind inbound growth, brand presence, and pipeline creation, working closely with leadership to shape the company's go-to-market foundation. As the Marketing Lead, you will own demand generation end-to-end—from positioning and content to paid acquisition, conferences, and marketing infrastructure. Youll be hands-on in execution while also setting the long-term strategy needed to scale. This role is ideal for marketers who thrive in early-stage environments, are energized by ambiguity, and want their work to directly influence revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of demand generation experience at fast-growing startups
  • Proven experience building marketing functions from 0 1 with measurable results
  • Hands-on experience owning inbound lead generation and pipeline growth
  • Comfort executing across multiple channels without large teams or agencies
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate independently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading content strategy end-to-end (positioning, creation, distribution)
  • Proven success managing conferences and in-person events as demand channels
  • Exposure to product-led or founder-led go-to-market motions
  • Strong understanding of how demand gen ties directly to sales outcomes
  • Background in B2B software, developer tools, or technical products
  • Experience selecting and scaling marketing systems as the company grows

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate a demand generation engine from 0 1 , establishing repeatable inbound growth
  • Develop and execute content and brand strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and qualified leads
  • Overhaul and continuously optimize the company website with a strong focus on SEO and SEM
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across Google Ads and LinkedIn
  • Own conference and event strategy , including planning, logistics, messaging, and onsite execution
  • Support partnership initiatives and broader go-to-market efforts
  • Select, implement, and manage the marketing technology stack , including HubSpot
  • Track performance, report on pipeline impact, and refine strategy based on data and outcomes
