Marketing Intern
About The Position
Ready to build your portfolio while making a real impact in your community? The Crystal Lake Park District is looking for a creative, motivated Marketing Intern to help tell our story through social media, design, and community outreach. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience while promoting fun programs, events, and parks enjoyed by thousands of residents! Varied hours – Monday through Friday (days & evenings), with some weekends Up to 35 hours per week 🌟 What You’ll Do You’ll work alongside our Marketing Team to bring our brand to life through digital content, design, and community engagement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in: Marketing Communications Public Relations Graphic Design Advertising or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Experience using a camera and taking photos.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Assist marketing campaigns for programs, events, and park initiatives.
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the Park District website.
- Design flyers, brochures, and promotional materials.
- Support event planning and on-site promotional activities.
- Capture and edit photos for digital and print use.
- Monitor and respond to social media engagement.
