About The Position

The Marketing Intern will learn from industry experts and gain hands-on experience supporting ACP’s marketing and communications efforts across events, digital platforms, and organizational initiatives. This role spans multiple aspects of marketing within the clean energy industry, including event promotion, website content management, and social media strategy. The intern will split their time between a summer-long project, the topic and scope of which will be refined during the first week of the internship, and supporting day-to-day marketing priorities as needed.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with an interest in marketing, communications, journalism, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in learning about marketing and communications in a mission-driven or advocacy-focused organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with guidance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of teams and stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant coursework or prior internship experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as social media, content management systems, or email marketing tools.
  • Experience using tools such as WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Interest in clean energy, sustainability, or public policy topics.

Responsibilities

  • Support the drafting and development of creative content for marketing and communications materials, including social media and website content.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials for ACP events, including emails, social media posts, and website updates.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns for initiatives and announcements across ACP, including collaboration with the membership, research, and policy teams.
  • Assist with branded apparel initiatives, including order processing and coordination with design partners.
  • Participate in the creation of graphics for social media, email campaigns, and marketing materials using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist with post-campaign reviews to help analyze effectiveness, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of ACP’s new website through research, content migration, photo gathering, and related tasks.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of digital assets, including photos, reports, talking points, and other multimedia materials.
  • Participate in additional projects as needed to support the marketing team’s priorities.
