About The Position

This is a temporary position within the Marketing Team. The Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting marketing, advertising, and communication efforts that help promote Runnings brand across its multi-state retail footprint. This role provides a real-world learning opportunity for post-secondary students interested in digital marketing, retail marketing, content creation, advertising, and brand development. The Marketing Intern will work in both team and independent settings to support the development, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, customer engagement initiatives, and brand messaging. This is a part time position with a flexible starting date at the end of the spring semester that will last through the end of summer. Based on business needs and internship performance, this position has the potential to transition into a permanent role at the end of the internship.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be enrolled and actively pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest in retail marketing, digital content, brand development or graphic design preferred
  • Graphic Design Skills

Responsibilities

  • Produce, proofread, and edit high-quality written content for the Runnings website.
  • Assist with marketing and advertising activities, including social media and digital campaigns.
  • Enter, update, and manage data in the Product information management (PIM) system.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to maintain consistent brand voice, style, and visual identity across all content.
  • Help organize marketing events, promotional materials, and seasonal marketing initiatives.
  • Support graphic design efforts by assisting with creative assets for digital and print marketing materials.
  • Participate in department projects and assist with special assignments as needed
  • Maintain organization, accuracy, and confidentiality across all work.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
