About The Position

The Marketing Director will be responsible for building, owning, and executing the entire marketing function from the ground up . This is a hands-on, commercially minded leadership role requiring someone who can define strategy, create structure, and personally execute across all modern marketing channels while laying the foundation for future scale. This is a full-cycle marketing role , covering: Brand Demand generation Digital marketing Content Performance marketing Product/solution marketing Analytics Go-to-market strategy

Requirements

  • 5–12+ years in marketing, with senior ownership of strategy and execution
  • Proven experience building a marketing function from scratch or in a zero-to-one environment
  • Demonstrated success driving growth, leads, or revenue through marketing
  • Experience working closely with founders, executives, or sales leadership
  • Strong knowledge of modern digital marketing channels and tools
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing and attribution
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and hands-on execution
  • Highly self-directed and comfortable operating without structure
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Data-driven, results-oriented, and accountable
  • Comfortable being both builder and operator
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and own the end-to-end marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives
  • Define target audiences, value propositions, positioning, and messaging
  • Translate business goals into clear marketing plans, budgets, and KPIs
  • Act as the sole marketing owner initially, with responsibility to scale the function over time
  • Brand, Positioning & Messaging
  • Create and formalise the company’s brand identity, tone of voice, and visual guidelines
  • Own brand consistency across all touchpoints (website, sales materials, digital channels, PR)
  • Develop compelling messaging that clearly articulates the company’s value proposition
  • Demand Generation & Growth Marketing
  • Design and execute lead generation and demand creation strategies
  • Own funnel performance from awareness through conversion
  • Implement inbound and outbound marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with sales and leadership to support revenue growth
  • Digital Marketing & Performance Channels
  • Own and manage all digital channels, including:
  • Website strategy, optimisation, and conversion
  • SEO and content-driven traffic growth
  • Paid media (Google, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.)
  • Email marketing and marketing automation
  • Continuously test, optimise, and scale campaigns based on performance
  • Content, Product & Solution Marketing
  • Define and execute the content strategy (thought leadership, blogs, case studies, sales enablement)
  • Develop product/solution positioning and go-to-market plans
  • Create marketing assets to support sales, partnerships, and customer success
  • Systems, Tools & Analytics
  • Select and implement marketing tools (CRM integration, automation, analytics, CMS)
  • Build dashboards and reporting to track ROI, CAC, pipeline impact, and channel performance
  • Use data to drive decision-making and prioritisation
  • Budget Ownership & Vendor Management
  • Own the marketing budget and ensure cost-effective execution
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers, designers, and vendors as required
  • Decide when and how to build an internal marketing team
  • Scaling the Function
  • Design the future-state marketing operating model
  • Hire, onboard, and manage marketing team members as the company grows
  • Establish repeatable processes, documentation, and best practices
