We are seeking a motivated and creative professional who enjoys design, understands digital engagement, and can turn ideas into compelling content. In this role, you will help shape the voice and visual identity of the YMCA, supporting our mission by strengthening community awareness, engagement, and connection.

Requirements

  • Experience with graphic design and digital marketing tools (such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail and organization
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content development, with an ability to tell engaging, mission-aligned stories
  • A proactive, self-directed approach, with the ability to take initiative and follow through on projects

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement marketing and communications efforts that increase awareness, engagement, and participation across YMCA programs and services
  • Develop high-quality content and visual materials for social media, campaigns, and marketing initiatives that reflect the YMCA’s mission and brand
  • Manage digital platforms, including social media, website updates, and email marketing, ensuring content is current, consistent, and user-friendly
  • Coordinate media outreach by developing press materials, pitching stories, and organizing interviews, while supporting broader community visibility through billboards and signage
  • Produce and manage print materials such as brochures, program guides, and magazine placements with a high standard of quality and brand consistency
  • Partner with the Development Director to support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and impact storytelling
  • Collaborate with membership and program teams to promote offerings and strengthen participation and retention
  • Monitor performance and use data to inform decisions and improve overall marketing effectiveness
