The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and its grassroots member organizations create opportunities for people to build wealth by championing fairness in banking, housing, and business. NCRC was formed in 1990 and has grown into an association of more than 600 community-based organizations in 42 states. This summer internship supports Marketing and fundraising projects, which may include research, writing, web production, social media, and editing. Interns engage in substantive work and gain exposure to a range of issues, including fair housing, fair lending, grassroots organizing and advocacy, community and economic development, and workforce development. The intern’s schedule, workload, and deadlines will accommodate the calendar of the academic institution or center with which the intern is affiliated, with NCRC being mindful of exam schedules and school-related closings. The intern will grow and learn new skills, gaining experiences that will inform their academic studies and prepare them for a chosen major and career path. NCRC will provide appropriate guidance and feedback to support the intern’s educational development and program.
