About The Position

We are a $1 Billion financial institution located in Orange County looking for Marketing Department Lead with excellent marketing skills, initiative and a desire to work in a team setting. The Marketing Department Lead position is a marketing professional who works independently on a broad variety of team activities within a deadline driven environment. The primary day-to-day function is creating and publishing engaging content across all American First Credit Union marketing channels. This position works closely with various departments throughout the Credit Union to identify key product messaging, obtain compliance approvals, and launch member communications across web, email, social media, direct mail and advertising channels. The Marketing Department Lead will take a lead role by assisting marketing management with the supervision, training, and guidance of marketing staff. Also, is responsible for closed-loop reporting on all campaign efforts to identify trends and recommend conversion optimization opportunities. Additional marketing responsibilities include managing calendars, project coordination and timing, vendor communications, inter-departmental communication, and inventory management of marketing collateral, member gifts, logo wear and other items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years’ marketing experience developing communication plans and content for websites, emails, social media, direct mail and other marketing channels.
  • Ability to use online and digital resources to collaborate with others remotely.
  • Ability to develop and write engaging marketing content with understanding of product positioning and audience segments, that can be quickly adapted for all marketing channels.
  • Experience with marketing platforms and automation tools (ie Hubspot, Hootsuite, Canva, etc)
  • Experience managing outside vendors and freelancers for content creation.
  • Ability to lead, plan, organize self, and team members to meet established launch objectives.
  • Intermediate skills in graphic design (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), intermediate level skills with MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Capable of utilizing multiple database and reporting systems to develop end-to-end campaign dashboard reports to provide deep insights and conversion optimization recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks and deadlines with exceptional attention to details and accuracy.
  • Recognized self-starter with good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic attitude, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
