About The Position

The Arc Erie County New York has been supporting children and adults with disabilities, and their families in achieving their desired quality of life by creating opportunities through comprehensive services for over 65 years. The Arc Erie County NY is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing & Creative Content Manager to execute marketing campaigns, conduct market research, create promotional materials, and handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth campaign operations. This position plays an essential role in expanding community awareness, promoting The Arc Erie County’s programs and services, and extending the agency’s brand through creative marketing initiatives. Assists the Director of Marketing & Community Outreach. The role involves assisting in campaign planning and execution, content creation, social media management, web site updates, performance tracking, event coordination, and collaboration with both internal departments and external partners to achieve the agency’s marketing and outreach goals. This position involves a combination of office and community-based work, including attending agency events and community meetings as needed. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for special events and community engagement activities outside normal working hours – 8:00am- 4:30pm Monday - Friday. This position works on-site non-remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Media, Web Management, and/or a related field PLUS a minimum of three years’ experience in a communication/graphic design, web management, and/or social media role.
  • OR
  • Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Media, Web Management, and/or a related field PLUS a minimum of five years’ experience in a communication/graphic design, web management, and/or social media role.
  • AND
  • Proficiency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite
  • Be able to provide writing samples and previous examples of work in graphic design / media in special events.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation: travel; throughout WNY required
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital marketing tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), social media management platforms, email marketing services, and CRM software.
  • Essential for managing multiple projects, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating content and collaborating with team members. Presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to analyze data, compile reports, and present findings in a clear, insightful way.
  • Crucial for proofreading copy, managing data, and ensuring accuracy in marketing materials.
  • A creative mindset to contribute new ideas for campaigns and content.
  • Ability to conceptualize and design materials based on verbal/abstract management direction. Ability to carry out detailed but involved instructions and to deal with problems involving multiple variables. Ability to adapt to diverse requests and quickly changing requirements. Good time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to promote agency programs, services, and events.
  • Supports the Director of Marketing & Community Outreach in implementing strategies to increase community awareness, donor engagement, and program utilization.
  • Help design, layout, and produce a variety of marketing materials for digital and print platforms, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, booklets, fact sheets, presentations, advertisements, and social media content.
  • Draft engaging pieces and graphics for social media, agency website, email, and promotional materials that align with the agency’s mission and branding guidelines.
  • Produce short promotional videos highlighting agency programs, individuals that the agency supports, and fundraising events.
  • Assist in organizing and supporting marketing and fundraising events, including the “Ale Trail,” membership drives, and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, assets, and deliverables across departments.
  • Manages and monitors the agency’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube).
  • Schedule and post content to align with marketing campaigns and events.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments on behalf of the agency, and moderate discussions in accordance with brand and communication standards.
  • Report on social media analytics and growth trends to the Director.
  • Conducts research to identify target audiences, analyze market trends, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Compile and interpret research findings to inform marketing strategies and campaign planning.
  • Stay current with new communication tools, digital trends, and best practices in nonprofit marketing.
  • Monitor active marketing campaigns and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, social media engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Compile and report on campaign performance data to measure ROI and inform future strategy.
  • Maintain dashboards or performance logs to share results with leadership.
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and vendor relationships for marketing events and promotional activities.
  • Assist with on-site photography, video, social media coverage, and follow-up reporting.
  • Coordinate production of print and other designed materials, including obtaining pricing and quotations from vendors.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, databases, and project management tools.
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate vendors, and track production and design timelines.
  • Assist with departmental budgeting, invoices, and vendor quotes.
  • Organize digital files, creative assets, and archives of marketing materials.
  • Provide guidance and coordination for marketing interns and volunteers.
  • Assist with the annual membership drive
  • Assists with fundraising efforts, annual appeal, and special projects.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with external vendors, printers, photographers, and agencies to produce quality materials.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Assist with interns for the department.
  • Assists with budget for the department and holds accountable to goals and expectations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
