About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Graphic Design: Assist the Director of Marketing and Design with the creation of branded print and digital collateral for all HSTB departments and initiatives. Organize and maintain collateral and displays at both the Hillsborough and Pinellas campuses, as well as at the Animal Hospital. Social Media: Assist the Marketing and PR Manager with content creation, posting, and engagement management on all HSTB social channels: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X. Content Curation: Work with the Adoption, Intake, Exam, and Hospital departments daily to find and document mission-driven stories through design-ready photography, video, and copywriting. Organize and disseminate content to the Advancement and Marketing Departments using SmugMug and Asana. Events: In addition to creating graphics and signage for HSTB events, the Marketing Coordinator will be asked to attend and document some events through photography and video. Public Relations: Serve as a backup for media appearances. General Office: Assist with administrative functions as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisors REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree: Marketing, graphic design or other related degree Meticulous: Strong attention to detail (grammar, spelling, design) Resourceful: Able to proactively problem solve in a timely fashion Adaptability: Flexible and is able thrive in a fast paced ever-changing environment Project Management: Superior project, time and organizational skills Communication: Strong communicator both written and verbally Team Player: Puts overall “big picture” goals first and works productively with all teams to ensure goals are met Values: Must possess a passion for HSTB’s mission and commitment to lead the way in animal welfare SKILLSETS: Graphic Design : Generates creative solutions, translates concepts and information into images and is comfortable utilizing feedback to modify designs Copy Writing: Strong copy writer, editor and story teller Photography & Videography: Must possess basic photography and videography skills with video and photo editing experience Social Media Content Creator & Marketer: Must have strong experience with creating content, utilizing and marketing on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube Digital Customer Service: Must be able to effectively communicate with HSTB’s digital audience in a concise, professional manner SYSTEMS PROFICIENCY: Microsoft 365: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, etc. Graphic Design Platforms: Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva Video Editing Software: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or other video editing software. Familiarity with video platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo. Social Media: META Business Suite, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube Project Management: SmugMug, Asana Starting salary : $55,000 - $60,000
