About The Position

Chula Vista Resort is seeking an organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our on-site marketing team. This role is well-suited for an early-career professional with a background or education in marketing, communications, or a related field who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Marketing Coordinator will support the execution of marketing initiatives by coordinating projects, improving internal communication, and carrying out strategies developed by senior leadership. This position works closely with our Executive and Director-level roles, as well as our graphic/multimedia designers, social media teams, Digital Marketing Teams and Resort Brand Management Teams. While this role is not responsible for developing marketing strategy, it plays a critical role in ensuring strategies are executed accurately, efficiently, and consistently across the resort – leading to an excellent introduction and education of what a fast-paced, highly engaged, multi-faceted marketing career in Hospitality looks, and feels, like. This role is designed to provide a strong foundation for long-term career growth within hospitality and resort marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent education/experience).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus proficient confidence in creating, editing, and compiling information, data, metrics and KPIs for presentations to clients, employees, management and executive leadership.
  • Understanding of a variety of marketing and advertising mediums, including social media, digital marketing, traditional media, web content, print advertising, and cooperative programs.
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – primarily Word, Excel & Powerpoint

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with marketing softwares, project management tools, or content management systems is a plus.
  • Interest in hospitality, tourism, or resort marketing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, digital marketing, traditional media, web, and print advertising.
  • Serve as a central communication link between marketing leadership, graphic/multimedia designers, social media teams and resort operations.
  • Work directly with resort profit centers (lodging, food & beverage, attractions, golf, spa, waterparks, and other departments) to improve communication and adoption of new promotions, offers, and resort happenings.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are clearly communicated internally so operational teams understand messaging, timelines, and execution expectations.
  • Act as an internal marketing ambassador to ensure resort teams are informed, aligned, and engaged with current and upcoming marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing projects, timelines, approvals, and deliverables to help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support cooperative advertising programs with partners and vendors, including traditional media such as radio, television and streaming platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all marketing platforms and materials.
  • Organize and manage marketing assets, campaign documentation, and internal communications.
  • Provide administrative, organizational, and coordination support to the Marketing Teams, Sales Teams, and Revenue Teams, including Executive Leaders.
  • Help gather feedback from profit centers and internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement of promotions and campaigns.
  • Stay informed on marketing tools, platforms, and industry trends to support efficient execution and professional growth.
