About The Position

U.S. Career Institute is a leading distance education provider, offering 100% online, self-paced high school and career training certificate and associate degree programs in healthcare, business, skilled trades, and others is currently seeking a Marketing Content Writer to join the marketing team. Reporting to the Brand Communications and Content Manager, the Marketing Content Writer will play an integral role in championing our brand voice and delivering high-quality, influential content for two distinct audiences: students (prospective, existing, and alumni) as well as employer partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field
  • 3+ years of applicable experience
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to write for both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Experience writing in a variety of formats, including blog articles, reports/whitepapers, landing pages, video scripts, and more.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with SEO and content marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage timelines to ensure all projects and tasks are meeting key deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Portfolio of writing samples (blogs, articles, reports, or scripts).

  • Experience in education, edtech, workforce development, or career training preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging, SEO-friendly B2C blog content, addressing U.S. Career Institute’s various career training and high school programs offered to prospective students, career changers, and adult learners.
  • Develop engaging, SEO-friendly B2B blog content that speaks to employer partners, workforce development organizations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Create video scripts that appeal to both prospective students and employer partners for marketing, social media, website, and promotional use.
  • Draft reports, whitepapers, and thought leadership content related to workforce trends, education, and career training.
  • Assist with website copy, landing pages, email campaigns, and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with the SEO team to implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings and ensure our message reaches the right audience at the right time.
  • Continuously improve content effectiveness by leveraging performance data, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align content with campaigns, brand messaging, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and internal stakeholders to gather information and insights.
  • Apply basic SEO principles to blog content and web copy.
  • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all written materials.
  • Adapt writing style based on audience, platform, and purpose.
