Working with the Senior Content Marketing Manager, you'll translate strategic direction into compelling copy and bring Steno's messaging to life across multiple formats. Requirements

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience in B2B/SaaS marketing: Your portfolio demonstrates range across the formats listed above.
  • Ability to write with confidence and wit: Someone who understands that strong writing can make legal industry marketing interesting and engaging.
  • Strong attention to detail: You use proofreading tools to catch your own typos, verify facts and deliver clean copy.
  • Academic or professional knowledge of the legal industry: Understanding of litigation, court reporting, legal workflows or attorney audiences is a major advantage.
  • Comfortable with feedback loops and iteration: You don't take revisions personally and work collaboratively to nail the voice.
  • Self-directed and organized: You manage your own workload, meet deadlines and communicate proactively when issues arise.
  • Experience working remotely in async environments with minimal oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for content.
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana, ClickUp or Trello.
  • Background writing for attorneys or legal professionals specifically.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling, on-brand copy across multiple formats—including website pages, email campaigns, blog content, sales collateral, ads, and marketing assets—for a range of initiatives such as product launches, event promotions, newsletters, and thought leadership content.
  • Execute from established Steno messaging, using the company’s website, brand guidelines, and approved materials as the foundation for all content.
  • Reflect Steno’s brand voice—professional yet bold and fun, willing to take creative risks that stand out in the legal industry.
  • Deliver polished, publication-ready copy that is intentional, clear, and free from errors, avoiding generic or AI-generated drafts.
  • Collaborate through feedback and iteration cycles to refine drafts into strong final versions.
  • Consistently meet deadlines, communicating proactively about progress or challenges.
  • Work asynchronously with self-managed deadlines and fast turnaround times.
  • Adapt tone and messaging for diverse audiences (attorneys, court reporters, paralegals, and internal teams) while maintaining brand consistency and Steno’s distinctive voice.
