About The Position

Tri-Century Eye Care is seeking a skilled and proactive Marketing Communications Specialist to strengthen our brand presence, support patient growth, and build meaningful referral relationships within the community. This contractor will manage our digital footprint, oversee social media and advertising efforts, and represent the practice in targeted in-person outreach to local healthcare partners. This is a 1099 contract role ideal for a marketing professional who is organized, creative, and comfortable balancing both digital and relationship-based marketing strategies. A portfolio of previous work is required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or digital media (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage social media platforms and create compelling content.
  • Ability to analyze engagement and campaign performance metrics.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable conducting in-person outreach with professionalism and confidence.
  • Portfolio of previous marketing work required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, medical practice marketing, or patient-facing service industries.
  • Graphic design or light video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the practice website to ensure accuracy, clarity, and a strong patient-facing experience.
  • Recommend updates, improvements, and content enhancements as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for technical updates or redesigns.
  • Manage all Tri-Century Eye Care social media channels.
  • Develop a consistent posting strategy aligned with brand voice and practice priorities.
  • Create engaging content (graphics, captions, short videos, patient education posts, etc.).
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and track performance metrics.
  • Develop and execute digital and print advertising strategies to support patient acquisition and service awareness.
  • Create designs of promotional materials, flyers, and digital ads.
  • Recommend campaign opportunities based on market trends and practice goals.
  • Track and report on campaign performance.
  • Visit local primary care offices, specialists, and community partners to strengthen referral relationships.
  • Deliver marketing materials, introduce services, and maintain a positive, professional presence on behalf of the practice.
  • Identify new referral opportunities and maintain a simple log of outreach activity.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms.
  • Draft patient-facing communications, announcements, or promotional messages as needed.
  • Support special projects, events, or community initiatives that enhance brand visibility.
