About The Position

Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Salesforce IT Developer/Software Engineer who is an out-of-the-box thinker to drive the technical vision and execution of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. This role is ideal for a seasoned Salesforce expert who thrives in architecting enterprise-grade solutions, mentoring development teams, and leveraging the full potential of Salesforce technologies to transform how we serve our customers in the insurance industry. You'll join Amica's Enterprise Salesforce Program as the Marketing Cloud engineering partner supporting Marketing, Communications & Growth. In this role, you'll design and implement secure, maintainable solutions across Marketing Cloud Engagement, Personalization, Mobile Studio, and Data Cloud, aligned with our enterprise standards. You'll collaborate with platform teams across Corporate Information Systems, helping to deliver personalized, data-driven journeys while mentoring the email marketing team and ensuring quality through strong development practices and CI/CD deployment. This position is open to senior levels of experience. Entry-level candidates are not eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Content Builder, Marketing Cloud Personalization).
  • Expertise with Data Cloud and building scalable data pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Server Side JavaScript, AMPscript, and SQL.
  • Proven experience integrating external systems with Marketing Cloud through REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Deep understanding of contact management, subscriber key strategies, deliverability, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to mentor and provide leadership to teams of both technical and non-technical resources.
  • Self-starter with a passion for staying on the cutting edge of Salesforce offerings and emerging technologies, proactively bringing new capabilities and ideas to the team.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and Developer certifications.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder or Developer I certification.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud or other Salesforce CRM Clouds.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and optimize scalable Marketing Cloud solutions leveraging Marketing Cloud Engagement, Personalization, Mobile Studio, and other advanced platform features.
  • Develop and maintain Data Cloud pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and activation to power marketing campaigns.
  • Implement and maintain subscriber key strategies and contact data hygiene practices to ensure clean, unified customer records and compliant messaging.
  • Create dynamic, personalized content using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPscript, and SQL.
  • Integrate Marketing Cloud with other systems using REST and SOAP APIs to support automation and data flow.
  • Partner with the Marketing, Communications & Growth team to design and architect scalable Salesforce solutions that connect Marketing Cloud with enterprise data and processes.
  • Support and mentor the email marketing team in adopting platform capabilities.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance and platform utilization.
  • Provide technical leadership on best practices, platform enhancements, and emerging features.
  • May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
