Under direct supervision of the Marketing Manager and in accordance with the company’s strategic marketing plan, the Marketing Brand Specialist will lead and coordinate the credit union’s brand image, developing and executing strategies to build awareness, drive membership and growth, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Associate’s degree in a related field with commensurate experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic marketing concepts, principles, and tactics.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Familiar with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System software.
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Service oriented and exhibits pride in work output.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and a professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented and understands the importance of follow-through and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to be flexible and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Graphic design capabilities, including use of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Marketing department in the development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and tactics to achieve credit union goals.
  • Maintains the Point Breeze Credit Union website, ensuring content is accurate, current, compliant, and appropriately reflects the credit union’s brand and products/services. This includes maintaining promotional landing pages with GA4 tracking to monitor performance.
  • Plans and executes credit union events, such as the Annual Membership Meeting and charity golf tournament, networking events, seminars, community events, etc. Involves sponsor follow up and tracking, documenting income and expenses, handling registrations, planning signage, arranging catering, etc.
  • Prepares member communications, including the quarterly member newsletter and email messages, as directed by the Marketing Manager or SVP, Director of Marketing.
  • Prepares videos, instructional guides, etc., to support member service adoption.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Admin Assistant to execute the annual student scholarship program, including application collection and processing, ceremony planning and scholarship delivery.
  • Maintains and updates the marketing calendar to ensure the credit union is actively supporting all areas of the business and all product lines and services.
  • Updates monthly and weekly data tracking reports, prepares data files and lists, and coordinates all campaign or other reporting activities for the Marketing department.
  • Maintains member communications, including letter templates, notices, statements, etc.
  • Supports community giving initiatives by executing donations and sponsorships at the direction of the SVP, Director of Marketing and tracks activity.
  • Updates and tracks performance of targeted messages and advertisements in the customer relationship management (CRM) system and mobile and online banking platforms.
  • Creates and maintains third party ads with oversight from the Marketing Manager.
  • Creates and maintains branded signage for credit union offices, training rooms, ATMs, etc.
  • Responsible for supporting Business Development with branded signage, giveaways, exhibit materials, and financial literacy presentations.
  • Supports development of branded PowerPoint presentations for quarterly employee meetings, business development and financial literacy events, etc.
  • Has primary responsibility for rate changes on the credit union website, rate sheet, lobby displays, etc., as well as notifying affected marketing vendors.
  • Serves as back up to the Marketing Operations Specialist role.
  • Upholds the brand of Point Breeze Credit Union and ensures all marketing materials and communications are compliant with all current State and Federal regulations.
  • Adheres to all credit union compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) guidelines and regulations, as explained and as appropriate for the position.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager or SVP, Director of Marketing.
