About The Position

The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day production and execution of digital marketing campaigns and programs within the Global Digital Hub, as part of the Marketing Automation Chapter. Acting as a subject matter expert for the OCE-D (OCE Digital) marketing automation tool, this role supports the Global Digital Hub’s objectives by collaborating with business partners and stakeholders to plan and execute digital marketing initiatives. The scope includes working with affiliates and regional teams in the Pharma Division to implement digital strategies for Roche events, products, services, or other marketing automation projects using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Requirements

  • University or College Degree in a related field (Computing and IT, Communication, or Digital Marketing).
  • 2+ years of professional email marketing experience with a proven track record of developing automated campaigns; experience within a global environment is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of basic HTML and CSS within the context of email marketing (minimum requirement).
  • Strong grasp of user journey design and campaign logic.
  • Hands-on experience with Marketing Automation Tools is essential; familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot, or Braze is strongly preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of your work.

  • Customer-centric approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a positive attitude toward challenges and opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced expertise in AMPscript and personalization techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS in the context of email marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and support global, regional, and affiliate end-to-end (E2E) marketing campaigns, including asset creation, user journey/logic building, localization, segmentation, testing, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design transactional, outbound, and nurture marketing campaigns, leveraging product data to drive customer engagement and enhance understanding of Roche products and services.
  • Understand the business partners’ and stakeholders' goals to provide consulting, recommendations, and best practices for achieving success in marketing automation.
  • Facilitate tracking and reporting on email campaigns to drive continuous improvements and ensure adherence to current industry best practices.
  • Support global and regional projects and initiatives, as required.
  • Operationalize marketing automation programs to drive demand-generation campaigns, nurture marketing efforts, and customer retention programs.
