In this role, the ideal candidate will support the development and execution of title-specific marketing campaigns for a wide range of authors including our exciting line of original audiobooks.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant marketing experience, preferably in the publishing space.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in copywriting for social media platforms.
  • Strong time management skills with a keen ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with good follow-up and follow-through.
  • A positive attitude and a team forward mentality.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with video editing and/or Canva a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with sales, editorial, digital and ad promo departments, work hand in hand with audio production and audio publicity.
  • Create compelling marketing assets including behind the scenes interviews, excerpts, copy and more for use in advertising and across Simon & Schuster, author, and account social media channels.
  • Maintain a detailed record of frontlist assets trafficked between production and marketing teams; handle weekly marketing notes and content check in.
  • Conduct ongoing author research, tracking key metrics and sharing insights with the team.
  • Create and distribute weekly sales and marketing materials for internal title discussions and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate campaign and marketing data tracking, ensuring records are organized and up to date.
