About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate, student-centered Elementary School Counselor to join our school community. The elementary school counselor supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students by providing counseling services, classroom guidance, and collaborative support for families, teachers, and administrators. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners within a caring and faith-filled environment. Requirements
- Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field
- Valid state school counseling license or certification
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing individual and small-group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Delivering age-appropriate classroom lessons on topics such as social skills, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and character development
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
- Assisting with crisis response and student support plans when needed
- Supporting school-wide initiatives related to student well-being, positive behavior, and school climate
- Maintaining appropriate documentation and confidentiality in accordance with school and professional guidelines
