About The Position

The Marketing Assistant supports the Category Team (Category Leader, Brand Manager, and Assistant Marketing Manager) with implementing marketing strategies, campaigns, product launches, and programs for brands in their assigned Category to meet the Category KPIs. In collaboration with the Cross-functional Teams including, Business Insights Team, Digital team, Operations, and Sales/Inside Sales teams, as well as 3rd party agencies, the Marketing Assistant will support the achievement of the Category team goals, expanding our omni-channel footprint by providing market insights and analysis to include marketing / media tactics, syndicated / POS, consumer panel, used to evaluate the Category business progress.

  • The candidate would be able to work well with Customer Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Research and Development, Finance, Digital & e-Commerce and all other departments of the company.
  • BS Degree in Marketing or Business
  • One to two years of Marketing or product management experience in CPG (OTC preferred)
  • Excellent analytical skills upon which to base decision making
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines
  • Team player able to effectively interact and work with various functional departments
  • Strategic, passionate, self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, creative and a leader
  • Good understanding of Marketing principles
  • Willing to roll-up their sleeves

Nice To Haves

  • MBA in Business is a plus
  • Experience with Budget Management and Forecasting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supports Category Team in the overall management of the brand.
  • Support the business planning process with Category team to achieve performance objectives of sales, customer profitability, and key shopper metrics.
  • Assist with managing SKU forecast process.
  • Support and collaborate with Category Team in the development and execution of integrated business plans to achieve growth goals
  • Maintains Brand relevant collaborative information portals
  • Support and collaborate with Category Team, agencies, and others in the development of Brand decks for use in Customer Meetings, Internal Reviews, Trade Shows, Sales Presentations etc.
  • Working closely with Category Team to analyze, recommend and implement a variety of actions to help achieve business plan objectives
  • Work with Operations and Packaging Team to Support packaging updates, claims review, and artwork coordination.
  • Support New Product Development process for the Category Team.
