About The Position

The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is a hands-on, creative role designed for someone who enjoys storytelling, social media, and building connections across a mission-driven organization. This position plays a central role in shaping how the agency shows up online and, in the community, coordinating outreach across departments, and helping recruit and welcome volunteers who support older adults and caregivers. The position is full-time, 35 hours per week, with limited hybrid remote options available following successful completion of the probationary period. Spanish-speaking bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the agency's social media presence across all platforms, with a primary focus on content creation, engagement, and collaboration with internal programs and external partners.
  • Create, edit, and manage high-quality written and visual content for print and digital platforms, including social media, website updates, and digital newsletters.
  • In collaboration with Department leadership, help establish a consistent agency brand voice and visual identity across all marketing and outreach materials.
  • Take, edit, and curate original photos to support social media, marketing, and outreach efforts.
  • Develop, update, and organize agency marketing materials such as brochures, fact sheets, flyers, infographics, and promotional items.
  • Coordinate with the Community Services Director on the development and production of the agency's Annual Impact Report.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through agency social media and outreach channels, routing requests as appropriate.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for outreach activities across departments to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with agency priorities.
  • Receive, organize, and manage outreach requests from internal programs and external partners, including scheduling, preparation of materials, attendance, and follow-up.
  • Professionally represent the agency at community events, job fairs, tabling events, presentations, and meetings.
  • Assist departmental leadership with planning and implementation of agency-wide events and campaigns, including but not limited to the Annual Community Impact Luncheon, March for Meals, and other special initiatives.
  • Attend and take meeting minutes for the GSSSI Advisory Committee and other designated committees as assigned.
  • Support the Community Services Director with the Federal Area Plan process, including focus group coordination, demographic research, data compilation, and documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate agency-wide volunteer recruitment efforts in collaboration with program managers and leadership.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract volunteers through social media, community partnerships, events, and targeted campaigns.
  • Create and maintain systems to support consistent volunteer onboarding across programs, including orientation materials, communication, and scheduling support.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and new volunteers, ensuring a welcoming and organized onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate with program staff and the Training Coordinator to track onboarding progress, required documentation, and training needs.
