This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Austin Surf Club, set outside of Austin, TX. Austin Surf Club is seeking a Marketing & Content Strategist to join the Marketing Department. We’re looking for a high-energy, detail-driven Marketing & Content Strategist to support brand initiatives, member engagement, and club sales. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the marketing and growth of an innovative luxury surf club from the ground up. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about premium lifestyle brands and experiential marketing. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and marketing preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a real estate-related industry.
  • Experience with CRM entry and/or real estate contracts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite programs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • An excellent communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Adept at balancing creativity with business objectives and is self-directed.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly and be able to teach others.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management and Content Creation: Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content across various social media platforms, subject to manager approval. Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond promptly and professionally. Approve Club posts via social media management system. Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing and compelling digital content for the DLC app, social media, and other multimedia materials. Ensure content aligns with the company's brand voice and messaging. Complete market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging digital marketing technologies. Provide recommendations for innovative approaches to enhance Austin Surf Club’s digital presence.
  • Website Management: Maintain and update the company's website content, ensuring accurate listings, up-to-date information, and a seamless user experience. Coordinate with web developers and manager to implement necessary changes and improvements.
  • S EO and Analytics: Collaborate with the team and GA consultant to implement on-page SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility. Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and engagement using tools such as Google Analytics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Marketing & Communications Support: Club Communications: Create, schedule and distribute club communications to members and prospects via Eloqua Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Club Operations, and Member Services to create a weekly roundup of updates and important information.
  • Digital Asset Management: Regularly update and maintain club assets in relevant databases, including Publitas, Asset Bank, Pacesetter, and Egnyte.
  • SWAG Management: Maintain inventory of promotional materials (SWAG)
  • Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of prospect events to foster member engagement and growth.
  • Team & Admin Coordination Manage timelines, task lists, and interdepartmental communication for sales and marketing initiatives Maintain shared folders, marketing archives, and sales trackers Support partnerships, sponsorships, and marketing collaborations Assist with managing and nurturing prospect lists, CRM updates, and member onboarding Prepare polished sales decks, proposals, and follow-up communications Help coordinate private tours, site visits, and VIP sales experiences Support referral program tracking and investor/member communications
  • General Administration: General sales and marketing administration tasks Additional marketing duties as needed
