Requirements

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet competing deadlines
• Understanding and passion for Thomas MacLaren School’s mission and vision
• Excellent proofreading skills
• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of various word processing programs

Nice To Haves

• experience with Constant Contact and graphic design software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Helps with the process of producing all school publications
• Formats and sends out communications
• Generates and posts regular social media content
• Assists in creating and publishing the school directory
• Capture key school events and photo opportunities
• Maintains organization of school photo collection
• Supporting marketing events
• Collaborates on the creation and design of communications and marketing materials for the school
• Support functionality, efficiency, security and ease of use of school website for all users
• Manage access rights for users
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to keep content current and consistent with Thomas MacLaren School branding
• Audit website quarterly to ensure compliance, update directory and content, fix broken links, and remove expired content
• Communicate with leadership on maximizing potential use of website to serve the school community
• Conduct annual usability test with outside testers
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Benefits

• For employees contracted for 30 hours per week or more, Thomas MacLaren School pays for 100% of the employee’s base insurance premiums (Health, Dental, Vision, Long-term and Short-term disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance, and Life insurance) for the base level coverages.
• No benefits are provided to employees contracted for less than 30 hours per week.
