About The Position

The Communications Manager position works closely with Marketing and Communications and Children’s Health leaders to create and implement communication projects and campaigns for Intermountain Children's Health. This leader works closely and collaboratively with other marketing and communication professionals within Intermountain Health to help achieve local, regional and system-wide communications. This position will work from home but will frequently visit the Primary Children’s Hospitals (Salt lake, Taylorsville and Lehi) as well as Key Bank Tower. Travel to Las Vegas may also occur throughout the year along with occasional weekend and evening may be required. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience with a high emphasis on strategy, Leader Relationships and Communication based skills. Requirements

  • Advanced Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and activities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for various audiences and platforms.
  • Advanced strategic and creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing solutions based on consumer insights and market research.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex and matrixed marketing projects from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measuring results.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and counterparts, working well both independently and collaboratively to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Proficiency with communication metrics and analytics tools, with the ability to collect, interpret, and report on marketing metrics and outcomes to optimize strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing needs and demands.
  • Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams, and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or health insurance experience in marketing and communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, business or a related college major involving marketing and communications and critical thinking obtained through an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops communication strategies based on target audiences, research, and business plans, continually assessing consumer and business needs to ensure communications plan alignment.
  • Supports work that has a broad scope across departments and functions in support of organizational strategies and priorities.
  • Strategically develops and executes communications activities in the hospital and community, ensuring high-priority strategies with significant ROI.
  • Guides communications plans based on consumer insights, sound creative judgment, and market processes for assigned marketing programs, covering a broad geographical area (e.g., region and/or broad market with multiple facilities).
  • Works well independently and collaboratively to prioritize and drive forward multiple projects, supporting work that is highly visible both internally and/or externally, and work products are high-profile and often in support of senior leaders.
  • Manages complex and matrixed communications projects throughout the project life cycle (concept through launch) to achieve objectives and measure results against business needs, supporting multiple functions and teams within those functions that have an impact at the enterprise level.
  • Builds relationships with stakeholders and counterparts to help achieve communications objectives, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Assists in scoping and evaluating communications projects to ensure they meet operational and strategic criteria, supporting investments in high-priority strategies that involve sizeable, tangible returns to the organization.
