About The Position

The Partner Marketing & Communications team leads DaVita’s engagement with physicians and B2B partners, translating our clinical innovation and operational excellence into integrated programs that build trust and strengthen partnership across kidney care. Serving as strategic counselors and storytellers, we shape how DaVita shows up and reinforce our position as a partner of choice. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Specialist who sits at the center of some of our most critical clinical communications, ensuring technical updates are accurate, timely, and user-friendly, while supporting the planning and execution of partner-facing marketing and communications initiatives in close collaboration with clinical, operational and other enterprise stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-based environment, can balance multiple initiatives simultaneously, and brings a high level of passion and ownership to their work. This role supports a number of critical workstreams in our group: Clinical IT Communications: You will craft and execute email and digital communication campaigns for our software product teams, including our electronic health record (EHR / EMR), ensuring smooth delivery of technical updates and alerts to our user base. Clinical Communications: You will support our clinical communications campaigns, managing shared channels, contributing major programs, and helping senior team members deliver on high-priority initiatives for physicians. B2B Communications: You will draft compelling content for additional audiences, including hospital executives and operational partners, tailoring our narrative to ensure it resonates with business decision-makers. Campaign Performance and Insights: You will own the routine analysis of email performance, helping the team understand what is working and optimize future sends. This role is ideal for a skilled writer and project coordinator who loves checking boxes, improving processes, and jumping in to help the team succeed.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing coordination, or a related field, with the ability to create content for a variety of channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: You can take a bulleted list of facts or features and turn it into a clear, professional email for a doctor or a hospital executive. Can present in group settings across stakeholders.
  • Data literacy: You are comfortable working with numbers and can explain what a "good" open rate looks like.
  • Execution focus: You take pride in getting the job done right and on time. You are known for being reliable and responsive.
  • Tech-savvy: Proven ability to quickly learn and use new marketing platforms (email marketing tools, content management systems, project management software) and manage distribution lists.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative and independently plan, prioritize and execute projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Acoustic, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Familiarity with healthcare or technical environments (comfortable with medical terminology).
  • Experience writing for B2B or executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical inputs (from release notes or product managers) into clear, error-free emails and alerts for clinical users.
  • Rapidly execute urgent communications during system outages or bugs, taking an approved message, formatting it, and getting it into users' hands immediately.
  • Diligently track the communications calendars, ensuring all planned updates are drafted and routed for approval well in advance of their send date.
  • Drafting compelling content for professional audiences, including physicians, hospital executives and operational partners, helping to tailor our narrative to ensure it resonates with clinical and business decision-makers.
  • Support senior team leads by taking ownership of routine or overflow tasks—allowing them to focus on complex strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a shared owner of our physician email inbox. You will triage inquiries, draft responses for review, and ensure no request falls through the cracks.
  • Own the routine analysis of email performance, tracking open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and delivery metrics.
  • Synthesize data into simple, actionable reports that help the team understand what is working and optimize future sends.
  • Maintain organized documentation, version control, and distribution lists.
  • Shepherd content through the Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory (LCPR) review process, ensuring all feedback is incorporated before final send.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to, stepping in to support senior team leads by taking ownership of routine or overflow tasks—allowing them to focus on complex strategic initiatives.
