About The Position

KMK Consulting is seeking a Market Research Consultant with deep expertise in Primary Market Research and strong exposure to the Oncology therapeutic area to provide onsite support to a leading pharmaceutical client in the USA. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted thought partner to client stakeholders, leading and executing end-to-end primary market research engagements to support brand strategy, portfolio decisions, and commercialization initiatives within Oncology.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Primary Market Research within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Strong Oncology therapeutic area experience (mandatory).
  • Hands-on expertise across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Proven experience in client-facing consulting or market research agency roles.
  • Solid understanding of oncology commercialization, brand strategy, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in the USA and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end primary market research studies including qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Partner closely with brand, marketing, insights, and commercial teams on-site to identify business questions and translate them into research objectives.
  • Design research approaches including discussion guides, questionnaires, and sampling strategies.
  • Manage fieldwork vendors, timelines, budgets, and overall study quality.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact client presentations and readouts with strategic recommendations.
  • Provide oncology-specific insights across disease areas, treatment paradigms, and competitive landscape.
  • Act as a day-to-day client-facing consultant, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and value delivery.
