About The Position

The Market and Recreation Manager acts in a leadership role to promote outstanding service, drive sales, ensure quality of products, and adhere to our Culture. Responsible for assisting the managers and Supervisors in the LSC cleanliness of all areas, stocking of all areas, inventory, training, and assisting with reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for all departments.

Requirements

  • Degree-seeking or graduate.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing required.
  • Ability to read, analyze,e and interpret general business information.
  • Ability to organize and write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and information. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Dataworks, Micros POS, printer, calculator, and standard office equipment and machines as required.
  • Usage of Starbucks equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Market and Recreation Operations, as well as assisting with Concierge and fitness
  • This includes daily inspections, holding employees accountable, and ensuring our culture is being adhered to.
  • Work in congruence with the Directors, Spa Manager, and Supervisors
  • Perform Daily lineups and give daily sales goals and objectives
  • Inspect what we expect by ensuring checklists are complete
  • Effectively communicate information both to and from store management and front-line staff
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times.   This includes looking out for the safety of co-workers, guests, owners, and the general public.
  • Assist the manager with the training and development of new staff
  • Assist the manager with ordering and ensuring proper ordering techniques
  • Assist with the receiving and tagging of all merchandise
  • Keep Storage clean, organized, and items inventoried by Bin.
  • Assist with monthly inventory and transfer of products within departments
  • Work with management to place orders in a timely manner
  • Maintain LSC aesthetics by cleaning, stocking, organizing, and following merchandising plans.
  • Price merchandise
  • Efficiently and accurately ring up all guest purchases
  • Proper procedures for closing and restocking are adhered to.
  • Proper rotation of food products and watching for expiration dates.
  • Ensure that the daily balance sheet is filled out accurately and legibly at the close of the day
  • Have a clear understanding of discounts that apply to each type of guest and homeowner at the resort
  • Knowledgeable in resort-wide activities and programming.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, creative problem solving, effective delegation and follow-up, and the ability to get the team to execute priorities.
  • Ability to be a role model and consistently exhibit the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekend and night shifts.
  • Responsible for all sales tickets/receipts, end-of-shift financial reports, and daily inventory records.
  • Self-starter that consistently delivers an outstanding, personalized retail experience
