About The Position

A Market Production Supervisor (MPS) is an expert communicator who is responsible for all lab cross-training initiatives. They will conduct the Lab Certification Program and ensure all associates are current and progressing according to guidelines of the program. A successful MPS will: • Have the ability to train Edging competencies and perform lab maintenance and repairs • Share extensive optical knowledge • Cross-train retail associates to edge jobs for patient’s own frames • Evaluate and identify potential Market Production Supervisor candidates to be developed further • Partner with spoke store general managers and coach store associates to develop behaviors that ensure glasses are correct the first time • Evaluate and communicate workflow abilities to ensure that turn-around time is communicated to customers and delivered as promised • Assist in recruiting, interviewing and retaining the right talent • Conduct eyeglass dispensing and adjusting for patients • Troubleshoot visual opportunities with patients and coach other associates on troubleshooting • Embrace and promote company culture and code of business conduct • Ensure all stores in their cluster are aware of production capabilities and overall process and commitment possibilities Friendly: make others feel comfortable with a kind and caring demeanor Eager: meet all lab certifications; passion for developing others Flexibility: Ability to work a schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, special events Multi-tasking: Balance job manufacturing while simultaneously solving customer needs.

Requirements

Two years of experience as a lab technician
One year experience in a supervisory position leading other
Reliable: must have access to reliable transportation
Agile: frequent standing or walking and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Intelligent: High School diploma/GED or equivalent related job experience
Flexibility: Ability to work a schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, special events
Multi-tasking: Balance job manufacturing while simultaneously solving customer needs.
Friendly: make others feel comfortable with a kind and caring demeanor
Eager: meet all lab certifications; passion for developing others
