All while: The Market Manager leads one or more local Manpower convenience branch(es) including all staffing operations and the P&L for their assigned market. The Market Manager has a strong focus on client engagement, sales growth, and driving team performance.

Requirements

  • Sales: 2+ years selling a solution / in a service industry
  • Management: 2+ years demonstrated people and/or project management experience (people management preferred but not required)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites and networking events on a regular basis.
  • Daily driving for onsite client engagement and business development activities.
  • Reliable transportation to support frequent travel between branch office(s) and client locations.
  • Must be flexible and available outside of standard business hours to support client needs, urgent staffing requests, or employee issues.
  • May be required to respond to after-hours calls, texts, or emails related to active placements or client escalations.
  • Will occasionally need to visit client sites during off-shifts (e.g., early mornings, evenings, weekends) to ensure service coverage and engagement.
  • Ability to adjust schedule as needed to meet business demands and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Recruiting: In-depth knowledge of or expertise in the staffing industry or full life-cycle recruitment
  • Operations: Experience managing a P&L
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Drive market growth through strategic sales initiatives, utilizing all applicable sales enablement technology
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and market analysis.
  • Prepare and present customized staffing solutions, pricing models, and service proposals.
  • Maintain consistent engagement at client locations to foster strong relationships and ensure service alignment.
  • Conduct client visits to assess satisfaction, identify needs, and provide proactive support.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for client communications, issue resolution, and workforce planning.
  • Manage daily branch operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and service excellence.
  • Lead and develop a team of recruiters to meet defined performance goals
  • Monitor and report on market KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to ensure timely and high-quality candidate placements.
  • Support high-volume recruiting efforts and workforce scaling for client accounts as needed, utilize all internal enablement tools/teams.
  • Model Our Standards in all interactions with teams and direct reports and foster a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, addressing employee relation issues as needed.
  • Thought leadership looked to in the community as a workforce solutions expert, consistently leveraging all of ManpowerGroup solutions to enhance our brand reputation in the local market.
