About The Position

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Miami metro area. The position includes weekly in-office work and regular time in the field supporting tenants and property partners. Position Summary The Market Manager/Market Lead plays a critical role in expanding Housing Connector’s impact and advancing housing stability within their assigned market. As the market’s day-to-day leader, this role owns the execution of local strategy and market-level program and community operations, builds deep and productive stakeholder relationships, and partners closely with the Regional Managing Director to scale Housing Connector’s model. Building on Housing Connector’s proven success, the Market Manager adapts best practices to local context, serves as a trusted resource to the housing ecosystem, and helps define the playbook for deepening partnerships with community organizations, housing providers, and government stakeholders. This role offers significant ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to demonstrate how Housing Connector scales market by market. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, action-oriented, and energized by building programs and relationships from the ground up. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing multiple priorities, and leading teams while driving measurable outcomes. Success in this role is measured by housing outcomes, partner experience, and overall market performance. This role requires experience applying an equity or social impact lens to real-world execution, where decisions directly affect people and communities. This role is not focused on marketing, communications, brand, or content creation. It is an execution- and operations-oriented role responsible for driving housing placements, managing partnerships, and leading local teams.

Requirements

  • Experience leading market-level, program, or community operations with clear accountability for service delivery and outcomes (e.g., startups, tech-enabled services, multi-site organizations, or complex ecosystems).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering operational outcomes in social impact, public service, or community-based contexts, particularly in environments with complex stakeholder dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategy in the field, manage day-to-day operational complexity, and solve problems while navigating ambiguity, limited structure, and competing priorities.
  • Experience managing external partners in ongoing operational relationships , including setting expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining performance over time.
  • Proven track record of owning results such as service delivery, utilization, placements, or operational performance.
  • Experience leading and developing teams responsible for delivering services or outcomes, including performance management and prioritization.
  • Ability to assess what is working, what is not, and make adjustments quickly based on data, observation, and feedback.
  • Strong judgment and follow-through in complex, real-world environments where decisions have direct impact on people.
  • Knowledge of the local community and ability to build credibility with key stakeholders.
  • Spanish language proficiency required for effective communication with partners, tenants, and community stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • This role is well suited for operators who are comfortable making decisions, setting direction, and moving work forward without extensive process or hand-holding, and who bring experience in market, program, or community operations with a strong emphasis on service delivery and field-based execution.

Responsibilities

  • Market Growth & Impact Grow Housing Connector’s presence by both increasing number of people housed and demonstrating improved housing stability outcomes to nonprofit, government, and institutional partners.
  • Identify and develop new partnership opportunities across public and private sectors to expand local impact.
  • Own the overall health and performance of the market, balancing growth, partner experience, and measurable housing outcomes.
  • Hold clear accountability for market-level results and continuously improve local operations to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of Housing Connector’s model.
  • Strategy Execution & Partnership Development Partner with the Regional Managing Director to design and execute scalable, market-specific strategies that: , Deepen engagement with community and government partners Expand client stability supports Increase active unit utilization across the partner property portfolio
  • Build and manage strategic, long-term relationships with housing providers, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the end-to-end community partnership experience, translating strong partner engagement into sustained referral volume and successful placements.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Experience Leadership Deliver an outstanding experience for property, community, and government partners by proactively addressing operational challenges and ensuring timely, effective resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact and relationship owner within the local housing ecosystem.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Infrastructure Work cross-functionally with Product, Property Growth, and Regional teams to identify, implement, and iterate on tools, processes, and infrastructure that improve efficiency and client outcomes.
  • People Leadership Manage and develop the local team, providing coaching, direction, and performance support aligned with market goals.
