About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, assists with planning and organizing operations for patient care services throughout Emergency Services at Texoma Medical Center, Bonham Hospital, and free-standing emergency room off-sites in accordance with department and administrative policies. Ensures service excellence development, personnel management, and resource allocation and control. Assumes direction of participation in special projects as needed. Assures the delivery of patient care is consistent with the philosophy of care and the vision of the hospital.

Requirements

Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
Master's in Nursing or related field. Post graduate degree preferred in Nursing or related field.
Five (5) years Director level management experience.
BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS, and PALS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
TNCC within 12 months of hire/transfer.
Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess critical thinking skills and sound decision making and problem solving abilities.
Must be service excellence focused (strong customer service and team building skills).
Ability to communicate clearly defined expectations.
Excellent computer skills in a variety of healthcare related computer programs as well as MS Office.
Excellent conflict resolutions skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
