About The Position

The Market & Competitive Strategy Analyst will conduct in-depth market and competitor analyses across financial, technical, and sales domains to support strategic decision-making, product development, and sales enablement across the business. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH - HQ location.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; Master’s degree / MBA student or graduate in engineering, business, economics or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience
• Experience in competitive analysis, strategy, market research, or consulting, preferably within energy, electrical, or industrial sectors.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and potentially ServiceNow or other similar applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for preparing impact presentations or reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and geographies and synthesize complex information for actionable business use.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market dynamics and track the evolution of competitive landscapes in the industry.
• Conduct ongoing and ad-hoc market studies, synthesizing macroeconomic, technical and field data into actionable insights.
• Analyze competitors’ products, technologies, and market positioning to identify opportunities and threats.
• Prepare and present detailed analytical reports and strategic recommendations to leadership and commercial teams.
• Synthesize quarterly financial reports and news releases for key insights.
• Share competitor intelligence through newsletters and collaborate with digital monitoring providers for internal dissemination.
• Empower business units by communicating findings to influence executive decisions and enable sales strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.
