About The Position

The Corporate Clinical Resource Specialist is responsible for providing support to current regional leadership by sitting in vacant leadership seats such as the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Quality Management, and Nurse Manager. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with operational opportunities and at times will be required to participate in acquisitions and new development projects. This position requires up to 80% travel across the PAM Health network of hospitals. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This is an exempt position. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing, clinical or quality leadership role

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree
  • Specialty certification, licensure or experience
  • Prior multi-facility healthcare administration experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of state, federal, and local laws and regulations that impact hospital/clinic operations.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of accreditation requirements, especially TJC.
  • Coordinates implementation of the hospital’s performance/outcomes improvement plan, consistent with system-wide QAPI plans.
  • Serves as chairman for the hospital QAPI committee.
  • Assures all minutes and reports of assigned committees are complete and available in a timely manner.
  • Manages the occurrence monitoring system and ensures timely investigation of incidents to minimize risk to the hospital.
  • Prepares agenda and minutes for meetings, to include QAPI, MEC, and Governing Board.
  • Responsible for completing the intracycle monitoring process.
  • Facilitates the development of the post survey Plan of Corrections.
  • Manages the patient satisfaction program; assures that patient complaints are heard and acted upon in a timely fashion to maximize satisfaction and minimize risk.
  • Directs all nursing service activities.
  • Maintains system to determine and provide adequate staffing for provision of appropriate nursing care.
  • Implements policies and procedures for nursing service in compliance with PAM Health guidelines and accreditation standards.
  • Assures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of charge capture and rentals.
  • Implements strategies to improve nursing service functions.
  • Implements, supervises, and coordinates nursing services by: ensuring evaluation, treatment, and re-evaluation are timely; assuring discharge planning; review and revising policies and procedures as necessary; reviewing the program on an annual basis.
  • This position requires 80% travel.
