About The Position

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring a part-time Market Assistant at our farmer's market stand in the Lancaster County Farmer's Market in Wayne, PA! This position is 15-25 hours per week and the work days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Employees receive free lunch and employee discounts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of retail experience desired
Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive and friendly attitude
Reliable and punctual
Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
Stocking/building case displays
Product preparation
Help with market stand set up and tear down
Cleaning and sanitizing market cases
Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
Answer all customer questions and address concerns
Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
Handle all transactions with accuracy
Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
Additional sanitation and market support as needed
