Professional, state of the art boat manufacturer in Minnesota is looking for an experienced gelcoater, tooling professional. Are you a marine gelcoater and tooling professional? If you’re ready to take your career to the next level, we have the opportunity for you: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the gelcoat supervisor, the Gel Coat/tooling Operator performs a variety of tasks necessary to spray gel coat. This includes maintaining all equipment required to perform tasks at hand.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Prior knowledge or experience in any of the duties or responsibilities mentioned above
Pass dust and respirator fit testing (requires being clean shaven)
Ability to work in confined workspace
Be able to stand, bend, squat, twist, for 10 hours a day
3 years in the industry spraying gel coat (marine experience preferred)
Must have 2+ years Mold Tooler experience

Nice To Haves

Prefer to have some Lamination experience

Responsibilities

Reinforce and promote all FLOE Core Values in daily interactions with coworkers and customers
Read prints, install tape line
Perform related duties assigned or as the situation dictates
Mixing of materials prior to spraying per manufactures specifications
Spraying and milling of gelcoat in spray booth to industry standards
Preparing molds for spray applications
Follow gel coating procedures, spraying techniques and application guidelines set forth by company and supplier
Daily maintenance of cleaning guns and equipment
Responsible for sanding, buffing, and waxing molds
Fabricate simple to complex tooling
Use various hand tools to apply and roll out wet fiberglass materials properly without air voids
Spray tooling gel for mold building
Measure complete dimensional mold-tooling stack-out (static and dynamic) to determine tooling component preloads, clearances, and fits utilizing any available prints
Continually strive to meet or exceed FLOE International’s standard work
Maintain awareness of and continually practice safe work habits
Promote and foster a safe work environment
Maintain and keep clean all equipment and tools assigned
