Requirements

2 years of experience working in the marine industry with marine electrical & marine electronic systems
A valid driver’s license
The ability to perform physically demanding tasks that require manual dexterity, eyesight, mobility, and a high level of concentration

Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting drawings and instructions
Identifying tools and materials per task and requesting materials as needed
Removing, installing, and testing electronic equipment, including cables, lights, horns, motors, controllers, engines, generators, gyros, and other components
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as pre-start and post-operation checks on a variety of marine vessels
Using meters and other devices to connect, troubleshoot, and operate electrical equipment
Using various hand tools, drill press, air compressor, generator, chain hoist, sandblaster, grinder, forklift, and other equipment to mount equipment and fabricate/install electrical connections
Supporting mechanical and structural disciplines
Assisting in job-site set-up, maintenance, restoration, and securing
Being knowledgeable and trained in safe work practices
Preparing and cleaning up the work area
Performing other duties as assigned
