Requirements
- Experience with marine engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, etc.) is a big plus
- Mechanical or technical background (powersports, auto, marine, small engine repair)
- Strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to getting it right the first time
- Positive attitude and team-player mentality
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with us
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an active shop environment
Nice To Haves
- Certifications are great—but we value hands-on experience and passion just as much
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of marine vessels and engines (outboards, inboards, sterndrives)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems with precision and confidence
- Install accessories and upgrades—fish finders, radios, GPS systems, and more
- Conduct water tests and ensure every boat leaves the shop running like a dream
- Keep detailed service records and communicate clearly with service advisors & customers
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace
- Stay up to date on the latest marine technologies, tools, and certifications
- Complete Mercury and Yamaha warranty repairs and ensure proper documentation is submitted
- Assist with the registration and verification process for warranty eligibility
- Use OEM diagnostic software (Yamaha YDS, Mercury G3, CDS/MDST)
- Follow service bulletins, recall procedures, and factory repair protocols
