About The Position

Waterfront Dock Hands are responsible for providing the greatest experience to our guests through safety and positivity. Dock hands will help ensure that all equipment is safe and clean for each guest. Dock hand will help manage all equipment and docking spaces with guidance from the Waterfront Manager. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Work weekends and holidays
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Requires possession of valid Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort insurance carrier.
  • Must have own reliable mode of transportation.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Weekend and holiday work will be required
  • Hazardous Weather
  • Operation of company vehicles required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior boat operation skills and plus
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and safety checks on all equipment.
  • Maintaining EZ Dock System and Moorings.
  • Cleaning and organization of Waterfront Building and State Park Facilities.
  • Proper training on safe operating of all equipment for guests and employees.
  • Cash Counting.
  • Assist guests with their boat docking and tie up service needs.
  • Follow the established opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist guests with rental craft rental/lessons of how to operate the rental along with purchases at the retail building
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
