Staff Accountant/Marina Accountant

Job Summary: This role is responsible for providing direct financial management for the assigned portfolio of marinas and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 2+ years related experience or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and 4+ years related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products.
• Extremely organized, strong multi-tasking and proven time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Quickbooks preferred

Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting close, balance sheet schedules, reconciliations, and prepare timely and accurate financial/operating report packages for the assigned mixed portfolio
• Work closely with General Managers, Accountants, clients and corporate personnel to provide top quality customer service, budgets, year-end reconciliations and financial reports
• Cash management functions including bank reconciliations, bank transfers, owner distributions/cash sweeps, and payment processing
• Utility and tenant bill backs
• Sales and use tax returns
• Work with auditors and tax accountants to ensure quality year-end financial statements
• Work with General Managers, Accountants, clients and corporate personnel to provide top quality customer service, budgets, year-end reconciliations and financial reports
