About The Position

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules. Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards. Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions. Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks. Produce quality parts/assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance. Perform all required welding, paperwork, quality records, documents, etc. Align with all safety and work instructions. Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as the need arises. Reduce lead times and optimize production cycle. Maintain competitive cost associated to welding including labor, material, gases, consumables, tooling, inventory, etc.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand on feet or sit for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
  • Mechanical aptitude (demonstrated through interest or experience in areas such as automotive, construction, computers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend weld symbols.
  • Use of weld measurement tools and gauges.
  • Shop math and ability to complete calculations.
  • Pass an entry level weld test regardless of your previous weld experience or certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Accredited welding school or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 - 3 years proven experience working with in the welding industry.
  • Familiar and efficient with more than one welding process.
