WELDER/FITTER 3rd Shift - $2,000 HIRING BONUS 3rd Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00pm - 6:00am Pay Range: $22-28 based on experience and skills. Shift Differential: $2/hour OVERALL SUMMARY Under direct supervision - Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Requirements

Successful completion of an internal welding test, and the ability to achieve certification
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
Good math and measurement skills
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Able to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into positions for welding.
Able to lift 50-lbs. from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixture.
High School diploma, or equivalent
One year experience in various forms of welding, preferably in a job shop environment

Responsibilities

Proficient in assigned welding techniques such as MIG welding
Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols
Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Conventional and precision measuring instruments
Process inspection, certification, and documentation
Welding equipment maintenance
Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
Regular Attendance and Punctuality
Safety and Housekeeping
Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
