Introduction The Manufacturing Training Technician is a hands-on, floor-based role responsible for delivering structured, on-the-job training to new and existing production operators. This position spends approximately 80% of time actively training on the production floor, ensuring operators are properly trained to standard work, quality requirements, safety expectations, and efficiency targets. The role directly supports operational performance by improving workforce capability, reducing scrap and rework, and increasing throughput and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Prior experience training, mentoring, or leading operators strongly preferred
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, regulated environments, or ITAR-controlled facilities preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and process documentation

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-the-job training for new hires and current operators to standard work, quality, safety, and productivity requirements
  • Upgrade operator skills through refresher training, cross-training, and support of process or product changes
  • Verify operator competency and readiness prior to independent work
  • Coach operators to reduce scrap, rework, and process variation
  • Reinforce safe work practices and proper use of equipment and tools
  • Complete training documentation and maintain qualification records
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and HR to align training needs and priorities
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned.
