The primary functions of this job require the following: training of Production associates, performing all aspects of operating high volume automated equipment, interfacing with control panels, material handling process, quality control testing, completing associated documentation, and any other activities necessary to meet high demand production goals. shares accountability for throughput and compliance related to manufacturing procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 2 years of manufacturing or training experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of automated machines with HMI interactions; 3 years preferred.
  • English fluency in comprehension and writing
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety protocols required for operating automated and semi-automated equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing operating procedures that apply to technical, automated, and semi-automated operating systems.
  • Require extensive knowledge and understanding of process control activities and functions.
  • Strong team cooperation and ability to prioritize workload to meet schedule requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provides, presents, and documents training for Production associates related to safety and ergonomic practices, manufacturing processes, regulatory procedures, and administrative guidelines.
  • Identifies training needs for assigned shift and works with production leadership to ensure 100% on-time completion.
  • Demonstrates expertise and accountability in recognizing and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively drives to improve process consistency and provides suggestions and ideas to standardize work steps in manual and automation areas.
  • Conducts basic troubleshooting of automated equipment and escalates quality/mechanical issues to Production Leadership and technician team effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Directs Production associates on various production activities without having a formal leadership position.
  • Audits Production associates’ performance and skills against applicable procedures and provides effective feedback, coaching, and retraining in real time.
  • Maintains accurate records relating to associate training, in addition to completing own required quality, process, team, technical, and safety training.
  • Participates in daily and monthly 6S maintenance and assessments, and implements corrections as identified.
  • Facilitates a culture of safety by monitoring ergonomics and identify safety concerns to leadership team.
  • Possesses the ability to coach operators to improve quality, production, and safety standards.
  • Requires the ability to work overtime to meet business needs.
  • Assists engineers in prototyping, specialty builds, testing, validations, and implementing new materials, designs, and process improvements.
  • Interface frequently with computer and related manufacturing software applications.
  • Participate cross functionally in problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement related to safety, quality, production processes, and raw material issues by using operational excellence tools/systems.
  • Maintain GMP, GDP and quality standards across all production processes.
  • Inspect, measure, test, record, interpret SPC data and subassembly testing.
  • Contributes to identification, resolution, sorting and management of non-conforming products and processes.
  • May cover and performs all aspects of both automation and manual positions during periods of staffing shortages.
  • May be required to assist leadership with floor coverage and change over coordination.
  • May be assigned minor process improvement projects.
