Our Marietta location has an opening for a 2 nd shift Manufacturing Trainee (Plate Maker) position. This is an entry-level role that requires NO EXPERIENCE in manufacturing. The starting pay for this position is $21/hour plus $1/hour shift differential. Employees are eligible for two, 50-cent increases over the first year if they pass the competency assessments. Requirements

  • Positioning material with the assistance of carts and overhead cranes
  • Standing/walking for whole/majority of shift
  • Vision abilities include close vision in the inspection of the work
  • Infrequent pushing/pulling of carts

Responsibilities

  • Review job ticket instructions to determine requirement of job production.
  • Make, finish, and possibly mount printing plates correctly and in accordance with customer needs and timing
  • Use all platemaking equipment - Prepare files, run CDI, exposure, washout and finishing units, solvent based still, cutting table, various mounters, sewing machine, etc
  • Operate forklift if / as necessary
  • QC work performed in accordance with department SOP’s
  • Be responsible for keeping all work areas clean.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business.
