About The Position

The Manufacturing Technologist supports production operations through the implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and robotic automation systems. This role acts as a technical liaison between engineering, maintenance, and operations to ensure optimized process performance, quality output, and compliance with safety and efficiency standards.

Requirements

Associate s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Automation, or related technical field; or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role with exposure to automation systems.
Hands-on experience with robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, or similar platforms).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and robotic programming code.
Proficient in problem-solving tools such as root cause analysis, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.
Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments.
Flexible to work different shifts or weekends to support production needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PLCs, CNC machines, and vision-guided robotic systems.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality standards.
Competency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (ERP, MES, HMI interfaces).

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing lines, with a focus on fuel pump and injector assembly processes.
Support installation, programming, and maintenance of robotic automation systems to improve production flow and reduce manual labor.
Collaborate with engineering to implement new processes, automation technologies, and equipment upgrades.
Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce waste.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues, quality concerns, or downtime events.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and adjust robotic equipment to ensure consistent operation and minimal disruption to production.
Train production staff on new automated equipment, procedures, and best practices.
Support preventive maintenance programs for both mechanical and robotic systems.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, lean events, and kaizen activities.
Document standard work procedures, change controls, and process updates accurately.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
